I am a Brooklyn-based divorce and matrimonial attorney. For more than fifteen years I have represented clients across New York City — Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens and Nassau County in complex, contested, and high-net-worth divorce and custody matters.

Clients and referring professionals come to me when a divorce is too complex, sensitive, or consequential to leave to an inexperienced attorney. My practice concentrates on contested matrimonial litigation, sophisticated child custody and forensic custody evaluations, and high-net-worth financial matters, business and professional income, real estate, investments, and lifestyle analysis, as well as matrimonial appeals.

I have appeared in the trial courts throughout New York City and Nassau County and have argued before the First, Second, and Third Departments of the Appellate Division. Several of my matters have been reported by the New York State reporters and featured in the New York Law Journal.

I also concentrate in Jewish religious divorce: an area few matrimonial attorneys can handle. I am ordained and appear in rabbinical courts (Beth Din), and I advise clients on the Get, religious arbitration, and the coordination of civil and religious divorce, so that no client is left civilly divorced yet religiously unable to remarry within their community. When civil and religious proceedings intersect, they should be treated as one strategy, not two unrelated processes.

My work is built on one idea: experienced judgment. Litigation is a tool I use to create structure and test unreasonable positions, never the objective itself. My role is to move a client from emotional reaction to legal strategy, and to stay present and responsive throughout a destabilizing process.
